July 22nd Update: I have been advised by the Planning Department that the next steps are that the applicant will submit a site plan application for review by staff and work on finalizing the development agreement. As well, the community benefit contribution (Section 37) process will begin with the amount and nature of the community benefits to be determined. Once the development agreement is executed by council, the by-law implementing the rezoning and official plan amendment will be passed by council. After the official plan amendment and zoning is in place and the applicant has met all site plan requirements, the site plan will be approved and they can proceed to building permit stage.
April 29th Update: I have been advised by the Planning Department that there is currently no recent activity. The applicant will resubmit to address staff comments and community concerns before a supplementary report/recommendation report goes to Planning and Development Committee. The report won’t go until the fall.
